AIGA Cleveland Presents Merge Mashup

A Surprising Collision of Design and Business Ideas

Friday, September 23. from 6-9 pm

Join us for Merge Mashup, a lo-fi, high-energy event that will blend an inspirational design story with a breakthrough business story to explore the new ways creative professionals can thrive in the current business environment.

The Mashup will feature strategic design partners Doug Powell (newly elected national AIGA president) and Lisa Schwartz Powell of Schwartz Powell Design, with A Piece of Cleveland, a local organization that develops creative products using materials from the city of Cleveland that might otherwise be thrown away, and Retronyms, an innovative software design firm, specializing in mobile media and apple products.

Each guest will give a brief presentation, then the three will come together for an audience Q&A and discussion. Jenn Visocky O’Grady, local designer, author, educator and co-founder of Parse, will serve as emcee and moderator of the evening.
